WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
Thk ordinary monthly meeting of the Wi'ifcoa Road Board took place on Saturday at the Nottingham Castle Hotel, M< irrinsville. Present: Messrs W. P. Chepmell (in the chair), H. Burnett, and J. Turnbull. The business before the meeting was unimportant. A memorandum was read from the Property Tax Commissioner reporting that tho Surveyor-General had sanctioned tho expenditure of ratesle\ied upon native land in the Waitoa Road District for the year ISSSI-90 towards opening up the road t,o the Pinko native settlement. The Engineer reported that P. Dillon had finished his contract <in Taylor's road. Accounts amounting to £18 3s Id were passed for payment.
