NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR SWIM MING ASSOCIATION.
A MEKTtffG of the above Association was hold at the Waverley Hotel, Auckland, on Saturday evening. The following Clubs were represented :—The Auckland Amateur Swimming Club, Hamilton Amateur Swimming Club, and tho Waitemata Amateur Swimming Club. Rules for the guidance of the Association were framed and passed, subject to confirmation. The following officers were then unanimously elected President: Sir William Fox. Vice-Presi-dent: W. A, Graham, Esq. Secretary and Treasurer : Mr St. Clair. Committee : Messrs Baker, Smith, Sandes, Hay and Jones. The following swimming championships were dealt with : — The 100 Yards Championship of New Zealand for the year 1890 was awarded to the Hamilton Amateur Swimming Club, to be competed for on the Hamilton Lake. The 440 Yards Jubilee Championship of New Zealand for the year 1890 was awarded to the Auckland Amateur Swimming Club, to be competed for at Auckland. The Halfmile Championship of New Zealand was awarded permanently to the Hamilton Amateur Swimming Club, to be competed for on the Hamilton Lake.
