BUSH FIRES.
A MILLION ACRES DEVASTATED. (BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Sydney, December 18. Terrible bush tires are raging near Jerildernie, 402 miles south of Sydney and forty miles from the Murray frontier. The fire is travelling at the rate of sixteen miles an hour, and is eating up everythiog in its track. The latest information to town states that over a million acres of country are devastated. The stock are galloping madly about, and in numerous- instances are badly burned.
