R.M. COURT, NGARUAWAHIA.
Thursday.—(Before Messrs Rathborne and Kuox, J.P.'s).
Maliciously Injury to Property.— Andrew Ward, Joseph Hewitt, Michael Gilfoyle, George Easton and John Cowan were chaaged with maliciously setting fire to a large field of green flax, the property of Mr George Hill, of Matahura. MrClendon, of Auckland, defended the accused. After a protracted sitting, lasting from 2 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., all the accused were committed for trial, bail being allowed in two securities of £50 each, and £25 for each of the defendants.
