Sir Henry Parkks, in a despatch to Mr Thus, (billies, Premier of Victoria, says the time is ripe tn consolidate the Australia?., and invites other colonies to take the first great step to hold a national convention for the purpose of devising an adequate tschcino of Federal Government. Federation, it is assumed, would necessarily follow on the linos of the constitution of the Dominion of Canada, viz., to provide a Governor(Jeiieral for the Dominion of Australia, and a Queen's Privy Council ; also, that legislative power shall be exercised by a Parliament of two Houses, called the Senate and the House of Commons. November 1. Sir H. Parkes has sent a despatch to the Premier of New Zealand on the subject of an Australian dominion.
