(tiV TKI, EUK.U'H. —OWN , CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Friday. The town subscription towards the Home Rule Fund already amounts to £220, and about five hundred pounds is expected from the Auckland country districts. At the Hoard of Education to-day, the proposal to add Murray's Children's Book of the Farm to the school syllabus was deferred, several members expressing a disinclination to further crowd the school syllabus. Several carriages of passengers from Onehungu this forenoon were derailed and dragged about 100 yards, tearing up the sleepers. One carriage contaiued seven passengers, four of them being ladies, who were greatly alarmed, but the carriage did not capsize, and the train was eventually stopped. _____________
