In t consequence of the time for holding tlie camp of inspection having been fixed tor November, it is not considered desirable to call out tlio troop for parade at the Auckland inspection by Major General during next month. It is expected that the camp of inspection will be of great value tf. the troup, and that several new memlv-irs will join the ranks in order to take part in it. The following circular letter has been addressed to those members who reside in the Te Awamutu district: — Mead quartern, Te Awamutu Cavalry. 2!) th heptember, IKS!).-Sir,-The one unpment at ltagl.m will be under Ihe cimnnirai. A bapgage tvagsjon will head fjn.it ters on Friday, the Kith November, at 8 a.m. All baggage must be propnrly labelled with ownor'rf rum*, <»nd must be left at the hall i;i charge of the secretary (Alt' Cailey) not later than 0.30 p.m. 011 Thursday, the 14tn November. Carbines and revolvers may be placed in the baggage waggon, but swords must be worn, and nosebag an.J tether ropes fastened to saddle, hich mm will require as baggage an overcna!-, blankets, candlestick, knife, fork, spoon, -tin plate and pannikin. Tlii?< being the annual dull of six days (instead of three days m May and three days in November, as hithertofore) every member is urged to be present, as at the last inspection the absence of throe men caused the loss or capitation to the whole troop. The Raglan detachment will certainly muster in full force, and members from Te Awamutu must use every endeavour to maintain the reputation of the troop. Recruits can join at any time during the month of October. Should any special circumstance arise to prevent your attendance it will bo your duty in pursuance of the regulations to notify the same to the secretary.—By order.
