A CAVALRY TOURNAMENT.
(BY TEI.ECSRArH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wasuanui, Monday. Captain Somervim.e has issued a circular to the various cavalry and mounted rifle troops, suggesting the holding of a cavalry tournament on a large scale in connection with the exhibition meeting of the New Zealand Rifle Association, so that contests for half-sections, and sections, pursuing practice, and Victoria Cross Rescue, may bo included in the programme. It is believed the gate money to witness a sight so unusual in Duncdin, would more than cover the prize money required, which is about filoO.
