Newbehuy Vautin Pitocrcss.—'The Waihi ((old-tinning Company are about to make a trial of the Newberry Vautin improved chlorinatiou gold-saving process. Dr. Scherdel will be in charge of the process, which, it is sincerely hoped, will be sue cessful. The process is tho outcome of the expense of two gentlemen, who both have the advantage of understanding tho practical, as well as the theoretical side of chemistry and metallurgy. Hotel Liuexsv: Lost.—One of our five. Paeroa publicans has had the misfortune of losing his license by an oversight. Last year tho annual meeting of tho Licensing "Committee was held on the oth inst., and tho fourteen clear days allowed licenses within which to pay their license fee, gave publicans to the 24th of tho month. lit this case the licensee in question misunderstood the law, and thought that the fee could be paid any time before tho 24th, whereas, as the committee got in on tho 18th of Junc, he only had until the 15th. Coach Tit\mo.— Messrs Bradley and Co. have ceased tunning tho nine o'clock coach (Thames - Paeroa) for tho winter months.
