The struggle between town and country members respecting ail increase in the quota to the latter is becoming very keen, a.-' I anticipated would be the ca.se. This morning the town members held a meeting, presided over by Mr J. Thomson, member fur Auckland Cil.y North, at, which a resotion was passed by about twenty-five members representing city constituencies, protesting against any increase in the quota being given to country members. The n,eating also resolved to. interview the Premier on the whole question.
