(BY* TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Aucki.an n, Wed nesday. At the Supreme Court in the case Official Assignee v. South British Insurance Company, arising out of Bradbury's fire, the jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for the fuli amount.
Thomas Morrin filed a petition in bankruptcy to-day. A meeting o£ his creditors is fixed for this day week. Mr Cheeteman states the rainfall this month is the heaviest return for June sinco 1575.
Stephen Spalding, whose case has attracted so much attention, has been removed to Wellington, ponding a final decision on his case.
