ALASKA CATARACT.
NIAGARA FALLS SURPASSED.

Lord Lonsdale, who has reached the coast of Alaska on his walking tour to the Arctic regions, declares that the Alaska cataract, on the Hay River, surpasses the Niagara Palls in beauty. The river.at the Falls is a mile and a-half wide, and the water descends a precipice over 200 feet deep.
