The New Zealand Medical Congress has decided that hospital charges for advice and medicine were demoralising to the profession, and should not be allowed to remain in force. It was decided that a representation should be made to the local authorities in each centre, of the necessity for the profession being represented on the respective Hospital Boards, either in the person of the chairman of the medical staff or some representative there of the Congress. It was unanimously decided that in the interests of the community at large, it was necessary that the Contageous Diseases Act should be brought into force without delay. On the question of vaccination, it >vas suggested that more than one calf lymph station should be established in the colony, but by the majority it was thought that the central station was sufficient at present.
