Hamilton v. Ngaruawahia. A well-contested tennis match was played yesterday afternoon on the newlymade court near the Public Hall, Ngaruawahia, between representatives of the above clubs, which resulted in a win for Hamilton on the total number of games by nine games, the sets being as follows:—First pair : Messrs Davies and Latham, Ngaruawahia, played Messrs Brookfield and Edgecumbe, Hamilton, the games being I—o, G—s, G—s ; Hamilton IG, Ngaruawahia 13. Second pair: Messrs Wyatt and Simpson, Ngaruawahia, played Messrs Forbes and Flood, (i—l, 4—i ti, 4—(i; Hamilton 13, Ngaruawahia 14. Singles: Davies v. Edgecumbe, 4—G; Latham v. Forbes, I—G. Total : Hamilton, 41 ; Ngaruawahia, 32. The sets in the doubles wero three all, Hamilton winning them by two games.
