IMPROVED TRAIN SERVICE.
The following telegram was received by us from the District Manager of railways, in reply to enquires respecting the proposed amended Timetable :—Propose to run daily purely passenger train to Hamilton, loave Auckland nine thirtv-tivo a.m., reach Hamilton 2.10 p.m. From Hamilton passenger train only, leave 9.55 p.m., reach Auckland at 2.30 p.m. The cattle and sheep to be conveyed in special trains from Te Awamutu to Auckland on Monday's and Wednesday's, picking i<p stock from other lines at Frankton, and running through without stopping. The goods to bo conveyed by goods train, reaching Hamilton before tho passonger train, so a3 to go on by present branch services, which south of Frankton reinviu practically unaltered. The goods train to Auckland will follow the'passenger train. With above alterations, and sheep waggons which will be gradually provided, most of your requirements are met.
