SHEEP FAIR.
A. Buckland and Son's sheep fair, at the Kenmera Yards, on Tuesday, was the most successful that has been held for many years. There was a very large quantity yarded in all classes, and some of the lots were very large, Mr McNicol alone having 1000 ewes, and Mr Millman 2000 ewes, the latter being driven overland from Napier. Tho prices realised were, or ought to be, satisfactory to vendors. Ratri3 especially fetched long pi ices, the Lincoln breed being most in demand, and of these Mr Baird's fetched the highest prices, his rams ranging from £9 5s to ±'(i 12 (id. Mr Robert Hall and Mr James Wallace had also a splendid lot of rams of this breed, the prices ranging from £7 15s downwards. There was a large attendance of buyers, and every lot was quitted, making the, salo the most successful that has been held at liemuera for many years.—Herald.
