HOODLUMS IN HAMILTON.

TO the editor. Silt, —My grievance is this : Last Sunday evening a friend and myself rode over to Hamilton expressly to hear the farewell addresses to be delivered by Captain and Mrs Cutler. Instead, ho-vever, of hearing the addresses, we had to listen to the disgraceful noise of the Hamilton hoodlums, who amused themselves by throwing stones against the walls and on the roof of the building. So great, indeed, was the noise that both speakers had frequently to pause in their addresses. Are there no constables in Hamilton, and is there no one to see that they do their duty ? Such a state of things is simply a burning disgrace to Hamilton, and trioro particularly to those who are supposed to protect visitors from insult and aunoyance.—I am, &c.,
