Cricickt Match.—A match betweon the Katikati and Waiorongomai Clubs was played on Saturday, resulting in a win for the local club. The visitors went to the wicket first and scored 75 against Waiorongomai's 100. In the second innings when tho stumps were drawn at G. 30, Katikati had scored 75 with three men to go in. The match was well-contested on both sides, and witnessed by a greater number of people than usual. After the match, the visitors were entertained to dinner at Murphy's, Premier Hotel, and expressions of the best good fellowship, combined with songs and toasts, brought the day's sport to a finish. A return match at an early date has been agreed upon. Te Ahoha Silver and Goldjiining Company.—l had the honour of a courteous interview with Mr Howell, the new manager of this mine, the other day, but at present as there is no work doing on the hill, the object of my interview with this gentleman resulted in the promise of favours to come in the way of getting information whenever work is started.
