(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYRIGHT). Syiiney, December 11. Rain fell at Inverell, in the New England district, and -vegetation is springing up again. The weather all over Australia to-day is fine. The weather at Wilcannia is intensely hot, and an enormous number of sheep are dying while travelling to water. Melbourne, December 11. Owing to the demand at Rodney for water to fill the dams, irrigation has beon suspended in the, district. Port Darwin, December 11. Splendid rains have fallen in the Northern Territory, in consequence of which mining operations, which were at a standstill, have been resumed.
