(by telegiuph.—- rituss association.) CHRIS rCHURCH, Monday. The threatened bootmaker's strike has been averted. Joseph Brown, aged eleven, is supposed to have been drowned in the Heatiicote. Oil S-iturday night he went canoeing, and the canne was afterwards found bottom up. His body has not been found. DUNEDIN, Monday. Over the £10,000 at first decided upon has now been guaranteed for the exhibition, and the capital will now be increased to £15,000. WELLINGTON, Monday. At a meeting of town and country residents this afternoon it was decided to establish an Agricultural and Pastoral Association for Wellington.
