The trustees have decided to ask Resident Magistrates to communicate with them before committing children to industrial schools, it being pointed out that the cost of keeping children here was far loss than tho amount the Charitable Aid Board was called upon to contribute for their maintenance m schools. Mrs Rhodes is the donor of £200 for adding a bell striking apparatus to the new postoffice clock.
