LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
(by telegraph—own correspondent.) Auckland, Wednesday. The Te Anau brought thirty-five steerage passengers back from Australia to-day. The Mauapouri, leaving to-night, had very few saloon, and but fifty steerage passengers. Dr. Giles decided that-spreading nightsoil at Mount Albert did not create a nuisance. A bottle was picked up at Kaipara Heads yestnrday, containing an unsigned letter dated 3rd June. The letter states the ship Trovolvan foundered off Cape Agulhas in a heavy gale.
