Mollwraith, Premier, stated that in his message to Lord Knutsford he had not requested that tho Queensland Government should be consulted in the appointment of tho Governor, hut had merely asked that the name of the gentleman selected should be given in order that the Government could be in a position to state their objections, if any. Sir 8. Griffith-!, leader of the Opposition, said it was the greatest mistake of the Imperial Government to appoint a Governor who was not generally acceptable to the people of the colony and it was the duty of the Government to make the facts known. Adelaide, November 14. The Legislative Assembly have passed tho Chinese Bill. During the debate one of the member.-) said he objected to being coerced by the Queensland Premier who hud objected to certain parts of tho Bill. He added no doubt that Sir Thomas Mcllwraith had caused the death of the late Governor, Sir Anthony Musgravo, and ho was now bullying Lord Knutsford over the appointment of the new Governor,
