This is the fourth company now floated on the English market, .Mr Hodge, manager of the Kapanga, has bnen \ery successful since the new company took over the mine, the output of gold is increasing every month since operations were commenced. It is understood that a handsome dividend will shortly be declared to shareholders who are mostly residents of England. The New Zealand Sugar Company pays a dividend of seven per cent.

There, is 110 prospect of the Secretary of tho .New Zealand Bootmaker's Union and Garrett Bros, coining to mutual understanding on trade matters.
