[BY TRLEOBAPH—I'KITSS ASSOCIATION! Wellington, Friday. Sir William Jekvois and suite leave for Christchurch on Monday, and will be absent about a fortnight. Two deaths of well-known Wellington residents are recorded to-day. Mrs C. T. Batkin, wife of the Assistant AuditorGeneral, died rather suddenly this afternoon. She had been ailing for some time, and was found dead in bed, evidontly passing away in her sleep. The second death was that of Mr Wm, Bromley, aged 72, fofinerly of H.M, Custopaß.
