A match was played in Mr Gernmnn's j paddock mi Saturday last between the | Paterangi Club and a newly-formed Manga- J piko team, and, after an enjoyable game, | resulted in an eusv win fur the local team, j though it is only fair to say that the visitors were short of men, and had to bat one man < short of the local team in the first innings, J and tlnee men in the second inning*. | Paterangi took the wickets first, and made 114. Goodfellow 27, Ryburn 27, Bnckett ( 1!), McFnrlane 14, and Case 11, were the ] principal scorers. The bowling of j Messrs Grookes and Case for Paterangi was j very destructive, and quite unplayable. t Taupiri v.
