s. PETER'S CHURCH, HAMILTON.

Thk usual quarterly meeting of the parishioners of S. Peter's Church, Hamilton, was held on Wednesday evening in the Public Hall. Rev. R. O'C. Biggs occupied the chair, and there was a moderate attendance. Mr Sedd.m, Churchwarden, submitted the financial report for the quarter, showing also the action taken by the vestry te equalise expenditure with receipts. The Chairman made a statement t.o the effect that he bad consulted some of his friends on the advisability of organising some scheme for parish work in which the laity should take active part, and gave an outline of the course prop aed to adopt. An animated discussion ensued, in which Messrs O. Edgecombe, Edwards, Cowper, Seddon, J. Edgecumbe, and one or two others took part, and a resolution was passed approving of the proposals submitted by tho Incumbent. The meeting then closed.
