SAD DEATH AT TE AWAMUTU.

Wk regret to have to record the death of Arthur Lewis, son of Mr H. L:wis of To Awiunutu. It will be remembered that he took part in the entertainment there oil the 19th ult., and no one who saw and admired the clever little child, thought for a moment that on that day fortnight he would ha\e. passed away. He was taken ill with congestion of the brain last week, and lingered till Wednesday when he died. Li'tle Arthur was a veiy loveable child, and was petted and loved by all who knew him as well as by his relatives ; everyone, therefore, was sincerely grieved to hear of his death. The utmost sympathy is felt for Mr and Mrs Lewis and family in their affliction. The body was removed oil Thursday to Auckland for interment, many friends and all the school children following the remains to the railway station.
