THE POLITICAL CRISIS IN QUEENSLAND.

This Colonial Office is considering whether the Imperial Government should take any steps towards putting an end to the political deadlock in Queensland, but it is thought unlikely they will interfere. Ckisiias'K, September 7. His Excellency the Governor has informed Sir Tims. Mcllhvraith th.it the members of the Government possess the confidence of the country, and he sees no reason for the stoppage of public business. He disclaims any responsibility in the matter. A public meeting was held last night to discuss the question, and ten thousand people attended. A resolution was carried protesting against the Governor's action.
