THE BUCKEYE REAPER AND BINDER.

[BY TISLEGKAI'iI.I ' Auckland, Friday. A number of farmers and gentlemen interested in cereal growing were present at the warehouse of Messrs T. and S. Morriu and Co. today, to see. the Lowdown Buckeye reaper and binder, and to examine the principle of its construction. This machine requires no transport appliances, and by the arrangement of the binding mechanism on the platform it is unable to capsize on any sidling, and will work on ground as steep and broken as any "hack-deliverer." It is lighter by quite SOOlbs than any other harvester, and the general impression of the farmers who were present was that this machine will displace its competitors in this province. One wellknown agriculturist who had previously ordered a Hornsby Binder cancelled his order in favour of a Lowdown Buckeye. Mr Percival, the Company's expert, will visit Ohaupo on Monday uext with the machine, which will be on view at Delaney's Hotel for the convenience of farmers visiting the sale on Tuesday. On Friday and Saturday it can be seen at the store of Mr Thomas Wells, Cambridge, and growers who have hilly land under crop, will do well to call and inspect it before the balance of the present season's shipment is sold. Several orders were taken for delivery on arrival,, and we understand that only five machines remain unsold. The Lowdowus are not unknown in the Waikato, Mr George Hally having worked one for several seasons.
