ACCIDENT AT CAMBRIDGE.
An accident of a peculiar nature occurred at the Cambridge railway station yesterday morning by which John Mu'lins, formerly one of the A.C., who is well-known throughout the Waikato, was seriously injured. Mr Mullins is in the employ of Messrs Rockland and Co. and was assisting Messrs A. Storey and McCulla?h to load trucks with cattle. One of the trucks not being exactly opposite the outlet from the cattle yards Mr McCullagh placed his back aerainst it and pushed it along. At the same moment Mullins stooped down to attend to the break, and not noticing a large post that was near, got his head jammed between it and the truck. He ran round tho truck and asked Mr McCullough if his ear was cut, who had only just replied in the affirmative when Mulling dropped down insousiblo. Dr. Waddington was quickly in attendance, and had the sufferer placed on a stretcher and taken into the station until a buggy was fetched, in which he was conveyed home. He was still insensible late last evening. Dr. Waddington reported the patient as gradually regaining consciousness. He is suffering from concussion of thn brain, but the doctor thinks he will be well again in a week or two.
