County Loan*. —The polling for the proposud 4*ll,- r ioo county loan under the Govermuoni; Loan Act lias resulted as follows : —Paeroa riding: For loan, 42; against, 2. Kurangahake riding: For, 1!); against, 1. Waitoa riding: For. 0; against, 4. At Waitekiiuri, (iO votes were polled in favour of tliu loan, but owing to some irregularity they wnre all itifortiial. In any case the poll was lost, as other 140 votes were required by law to bo recorded in its favour. Tun Mkmbek. —Mr A. J. Cadman, M.H.R., is on a visit to Ohineinnri, he is now at Waihi, and will address the electors at Paeroa to-morrow.
Waitrkauui.— A valuable mining propel ty here, known as the Ellipse claim, part of which was yesterday awarded to a parly of local miners by the Warden on a plaint of non-working, is now under offer to thi representatives of the Sydney capitalist, Mr Myers. There is a splendid show of gold in tho mine, and there is little doubt that on the experts' report, the property will be disposed of at a fair price. Water for crushing is much required hero.
