HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.
Tiik usual monthly meeting of the Domain Board was held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday evening. There were present: Messrs Barton (chairman), Knox, Sandes, Salmon, Wood, Miasen, Bell, Coates and Jones. After the minutes had been read Mr Jones entered his protest against them on the ground that the last meating was not legal, but on being put to the meeting the minutes were adopted and after the explanation given bv tho members present at the meeting and by the Clerk, Mr Jones expressed himself satisfied and withdrew his objection. Seddos'm Drain'.—Mr S. T. Seddon wrote calling attention to the state of this drain and asking that the necessary repairs be done before the winter sets in. Letter received. Lake Survey.—The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr S. Percy Smith, Assistant Surveyor - General, asking whether the survey of the lake has been completed, and if so to supply a plan. Notice ok Motion.—ln accordance with notice given at last meeting, Mr Sandes moved that £1 15s be paid to Mr Millais, as extra charge for timber used in constructing the lake jetty.—Seconded by Mr Salmon, and carried. Bye-laws.—Mr Knox gave notice to move at next meeting that a committee, consisting of Messrs Sandes, Missen, Jones and the mover, be appointed to prepare bye-laws for the proper guidance of the Board in their deliberations, and report at the next meeting. This concluded the business.
