ROAD BOARD MEETINGS.
Taotaoroa Road Board. Tub Taotaoroa Road Board met oti Saturday. Present: Messrs Hunt, (chairman), Hally and 11. Brunskill. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. —The Clerk said the Cambridge-Rotorua Road had been gazetted a country road as far as Oxford, and also reported the payment of £33 Os 2d subsidy. There was a credit balance in the bank of £357 - 2s Id. A few small accounts were passed. This was all the business of importance.
Cambridge Hoad Board.
The above Board met on Saturday afternoon Present: Messrs Taylor (chairman), Forrest, Thomson, Pickering and Smith. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. Mr Forrest read the report of the committee re the new road from Fencourt to Ilautapu, in which a deviation was recommended from the original survey, so as not to cut off the water from the Auckland Agricultural Company's land. The proposed deviation will bring the new road out in Victoria Road, immediately opposite the Zig Zig road. It wa3 resolved that the new road be opened. It was also further resolved that the secretary write to Mr Bayley, asking if he will accept the deviation as proposed, and if he will not the road to be made as per the original plan. The following tenders were accepted for road maintenance Contracts No. 1 and 2, J. Perrett, £50 ; Hally's Road, Thomas Brothers, £9 18s ; Zig Zag road, C. Crouch, 3s 2d per chain. Mr Forrest was deputed to have the neccssary repairs done to a bridge near Mr Pickering's. A few accounts were passed and the Board rose.
