HORRIBLE DEATH.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) . Auckland, Friday. A half caste named Clark, a half wittei fellow, met with a horrible death at Oruru, Mongonui, a few days ago. He set fire to a kauri tree with a view to burning it down and getting the gum, meanwhile it is supposed going to sleep in his hut hard by. The tree must have fallen on the unfortunate man, killed him and slowly burned him. His charred remains were subsequently recovered.
