Kihikihi Annual Races.
Thk annual race meeting was held here on Monday in Anderson's paddock. The morning was very wet, which was the cause of a good many stopping at home who would have come. In the afternoon, however, tho rain stopped, and the weather was pleasant. Tho course was heavy and slippery, and a good many spills resulted. All the events were closely contested, the running in the selling race being exceptionally good, Periori and Topsy running a dead heat twice, the former in the third trial winning by about only half a length. Mr Arnaholdi's totalisator was on the ground, and worked satisfactorily. Hurdle IfAXDiCAi' of 'lOsovs. 2 miles. 8 flights of hurdles, 3ft Oin high. Mr C. Weal's bin Kotiro, oyrs, Bst 121b 1 Mr C.
