CRICKET.

Th;-: cricketers of Cambridge have " a pood time coming." for on the three next succeeding Saturdays they have arranged .matches, all ol which are to be played upon their own ground. TS'ext Saturday they will attempt to lower the colours of the hitherto, this season, unbeaten Patermgi club, and we learn that they will be enabled to put a strong team in the field ; although they lose the services of that well-known free hitter Mr Case, who plays for I'aterangi. Play is to c mimenco at 10 a.m. sharp as it desirable that the match should be decided upon a double innings; players aro_ therefore requested to be prompt in their .attendance. On the 21th, instant Cambridge v Hamilton will be played also at Cambridge ; play in this instance starting at 11 a.m. _ On the .'slst of the month the representatives of Waikato and Auckland will try conclusions at Cambridge. This match will be a very interesting one as Auckland will doubtless send a strong team, and Waikato should also be able to put a good one in the field. Now that they have a scries of matches arranged we trust the Cantab* will pay a little attention to their ground. The matting does not appear to be a success, and now that the rain has fallen a good rolling would soon make a decent pitch. As all Waikato clubs will bo represented at the meeting on the 31st, it is intended to try and arrange a match between the counties of Waikato and Waipa.
