STRIKE OF THE TRAMWAY DRIVERS.

The Tramway Tnist have refusal to agree to tho request of tho Tramway Union men, that apprentices should be required to join the Union, and their action lias resulted in 5110 employes coinsout on strike. So tar no disturbances have arisen, but the traffic lias, to some extent, been interrupted, though not altogether entirely suspended. The Trust have secured a number of hands, and thus manage to run the cars, but at lone intervals. Numbers of the unemployed are making application to be taken on. Those on strike ha ve made a proposal to refer the dispute to arbitration.
