HAMILTON PUBLIC LIBRARY.
A MEBTtxi: of the 'Library Committee was held last night in Mr Parr's rooms. Piesent: Messrs W. A. Graham (chairman), W. Salmon, D. Salmon, .T. Parr, and J. G. Patmell. It was resolved that the works, " The Devil's Pulpit" aud " The Outcast," presented to the library by Mr Gerrand, of kangiriri, bo declined as unsuitable, and that the secretary be instructed to write to the donor, thanking him for the otter. The accounts in conucction with the lecture given by Dr. Kenny were passed for payment, and the sum of £5 cSs (id was carried to the credit of the funds. Resolved, "That the Secretary be instructed to convey the thanks of the committee to Dr. Kenny, Colonel Forbes and the ladies aud gentleman who have given their services in aiding the Library from time to time, and that MrCharles Harwood receive the thanks of the committee for many gratuitous services. This was all the business.
