RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

The Raglan County Council met at the Council Chambers, Raglan, at noon on Wednesday, Present: Crs. S. Dando, J. K. McDonald, J. Brooks, Gibb, and Barker. Chairman.—Cr Brooks proposed, and Cr. Gibb seconded, that Cr. McDonald be Chairman pro. tem. After reading clauses of the Act, as to the appointment of chairman, etc., Cr. Brooks proposed, and Cr. Gibb seconded, that Cr. McDonald be chairman of the Council. Carried unanimously. Mr McDonald returned thanks for the honour done him. The Act to Come into Force.— The following notice of motion was then given by the Chairman, “ That at a special meeting of the Council, this Council do bring into force the Counties Act within the county of Raglan, a special meeting to be held in December for that purpose, and that public notification of this resolution be given. This closed the proceedings of the Council. Mr S. Dando acts as secretary pro. tem.
