lI.M. Coe rt. —Yesterday, before Messrs •I. Gwyuuoth, 'll Wells, and G. W. Russell, T.lVs. Mrs Susan Lioro .v Mrs Mary T. .Murphy. Mr Anaemic fur plaintiff, and Mr Dyer on behalf of Mr Hay for defendant. There were three charges, the first being for damages for a broken window, the second for using insulting language ; and the third for using obscene language. Mr Dyer applied for an adjournment, as defendant and her solicitor were both unavoidably absentAfter a long consultation between the magistrates, it was adjourned till November i’-Mh. the defendant to pay costs £1 3s. Mr Gwynneth remarked ‘that had it been left to him alone, he should have issued a warrant for the arrest of defendant. A cross action brought by Mrs Murphy against Mrs Dole, for assault was adjourned without costs. There wore only two or three unimportant civil cases. Crickkt : New Zealand v. the World. —Theabove match was played at Cambridge on Wednesday, the New Zealand team being composed of men who had been born in the colony, the World comprising those who had been born elsewhere, A very enjoyable afternoon was spent, the chief feature of the match being the splendid batting of -Mr Ansenne, who captained the colonials and carried out Ida bat with-an unfinished score of 4(1. The. match was decided on one innings, the following being the scores The World : li. Messrs Dcy and' French have dissolved partnership. Mr Dey will carry on the business in future.
