WAITOA.

Hoad Board Mkbtinu. The usual monthly meeting of the Wailoa Road Board took place last Saturday. Present: Messrs W. P. Chepmell (Chairman), H. Burnett, J. Horrel, and S. ISeddon. The Fviigiueer reported that lie had let the earth cutting at Glassford’s to Mr O. McCabe, but he lias thrown up the job. The engineer is to relot the work in a few days, and also get Bleasdalo’s mad repaired. The work of repairing the Stanley road, near the cemetery, has been let, and the work near Turnbull’s has been finished. The engineer was instructed to get repairs done on the Te Mini! road, including gravelling opposite the Morrinsvillo school ground. Repairs are also to be done on the road between the properties of Moon and Larkworthy. The Board at next meeting is to decide what arc the most necessary works to tie undertaken during the season in the various parts of the district. It is hoped that the rates may be got in as soon as possible, su that the works to be done may be undertaken forthwith, in order to got consolidated during the summer.
