HARAPEPE.
Sciiooi. I'ix.iMix.vnoN, —On Thursday last, the Lbth of October, Mr OSullban, the Inspectin' of Schools, examined the children attending this school. The examination was very satisfactory, as all that went up passed, which speaks very well for the teacher, Mr C. K. Cnniforth, as although this is only a half-time school, it will compare very favourably with any full time school in Waikato; In fact, we doubt if any halt-time school has had children as young as this one has, pass the fifth standard.
Tub Wbatiibu. —The weather in this district is, ami has been for some time, very variable, hot days and cold nights, or cold and windy day and night ; in fact, anything but what farmers call growing weather. It is one of the most unseasonable springs we have bad for tbs last oq years.
