MATAMATA.
Local Racks.—The adjourned annual meeting of the Matumata Race Club was bold at the Public Hall on the 2!) th October, when the following gentlemen were elected office bearers ; —President, W. Hunter', vice president, F. Dibble ; starter, W. King ; judge, W. Hunter ; Clerk of course, F. D. 11. ,Smale ; Committee, Messrs F. Dibble, S. Higgins, J. League, S. Johnstone, W. Ruck, \V. Daily, W. Ring, and F. Rose, with power to add to their number, Stewaids, Messrs I''. Dibble, S. Higgins, W. Ruck, J. League, W. Daily, and S. Johnstone, Mr Dibble, Treasurer; Mr Straton, clerk of the scales ; and J. Simpson, secretary. The programme was made out, and will be submitted for approval to the committee of the Auckland Racing Club, after whieli it will be advertised. It was also agreed to hold the meeting on Box-ing-day, and it only now remains for the residents of the district to patronise it, and give the club their support to make it a success.
