[I!Y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The Financial Reform Association. Auckland, Wednesday Night. The Premier, writing to the Financial Reform Association, states that he can give no information as to the estimated cost of harbour defences for the remainder of the present financial year. The Seamen’s Union.
The Seamen’s Union have secured offices in town and on tho wharf, and Captains Daniels, Scott, and Crawford, formerly of the Northern S.S. Company, have been appointed masters. The agents of the Jubilee Steamship Company announce their intention of reducing rates.
