CAMBRIDGE CHEESE FACTORY.

A meeting of the shareholders of the Cambridge Cheese Factory was held in the council chambers, Cambridge, yesterday, at 330 p. in. Present: J. Taylor (chairman), T. Wells, J. H. S. Richardson. J. AlUvell, directors and Messrs J. P. Thomson, H. T. Owen, H. Gillett, W. Selby. W. M. Douglas, Dogherty, Bailey, Meredith, Butler, Booth, shareholders, and several others were represented by proxy. Tho directors reported that they had thoroughly gone into the financial position nf the company, and that the utmost they could offer would be 2Jd per gallon of lOßbs. for milk. If the state of the cheese market improved, they were prepared to give the milk suppliers the benefit, but at present that was tlie utmost that would cover working expenses. If the shareholders decided to keep the factory going, the directors thought of purchasing a separator about next March, so as to make butter and feed pigs. After some discussion, it was resolved that the proposition of the directors, 2j;d per gallon of 10.)1b5., be accepted, and that the milk suppliers be canvassed to ascertain the probable supply during the season at this price. The meeting then closed.
