OTAGO DOCK.

fllY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Wednesday. A deputation of a section of the Otago Trust favouring the issue of a loan for the construction of the dock, waited on Sir J. A r ogel to-day, and represented that the statements made by the opposing section of the trust were inaccurate and calculated to leave an entirely wrong impression. Sir J ulins said the responsibilty rested on him to see that sufficient funds were provided for the work, so that the Trustees might not afterwards come to the Government and ask for the work to ho completed by the Government. Sir Julius ATigel regretted that the Harbour Board and Dock Trust did not combine to float the loan. At a special meeting of the Dock Trust this afternoon a resolution, authorising John Elder and Co. to accept £9O for the debentures, was confirmed.
