[by telegraph—press association.l Wellington, Wednesday. It is intended tu light the new Government printing office with electricity. The case Law Society against B. N. Samleland, in which the Law Society of AVellmgton are proceeding against Mr B. N. Sandelands, a solicitor of Carterton for non-payment of fees alleged to be due to a local body, came up for hearing before Banco Court, to-day, on the application of counsel for Sandeland, the case was further adjourned tor a week. The local licensing committee, in whose district the Hutt racecourse is situated, recently granted a license to a Wellington publican to sell liquor on the course. Exception has been taken to this, as Hamilton, the publican, had no house in the district, and an information was laid to test the point. The bench to-day dismissed the case, ruling that the licensing committee could grant permits to anyone they chose.
