THE MELBOURNE EXHIBITION.

[rkutek’s tel -:c: hams.] Received August 10th, 11.50 p.m. London, August 9. A deputation headed by the Earl of Koseberry, visited yesterday Sir R. A. Cross, Secretary of State for India, to urge that the Indian Government should be officially represented at the Melbourne exhibition, and spoke strongly in favour of India being represented, and argued that Australia in this matter was fully entitled to expect .reciprocity. Sir R. Cross replied promising to telegraph the views of the deputation to the Viceroy of India.
