None of the Tauranga candidates have yet made any attempt to win the favour of the voters on this side of the range except Mr Gill, whose printed address is now being circulated, There is a probability that Mr W- A. Murray, formerly of Piako, will also enter the lists, should he arrive from England in time. If ho does he will have strong support in this part of the electorate. A gold discovery in the neighbourhood of the old Morning Star Claim is reported. Fair prospects are said to have been obtained, but it is not yet known whether the pud is likely to bp of permanent VO%-
